      Lorde Howe Island

      The island was first discovered by Europeans in 1788. Before this is was unknown to even indigenous peoples  of the surrounding areas. Realistically, that does not seem to absurd when you consider that it take a two hour flight from mainland Australia to get you to the island. The island effectively operates as a national park.         Flyboards

        Flyboards have only been around since 2012 when a French water craft rider invented them. The boards are attached to the riders feet which allow them to propel themselves out of the water and hover. The technology is pretty cool but the rider can experience a pretty thrilling ride(which is awesome!)!

          Northern Lights

          The Northern Lights are the colloquial name for Aurora Borealis. Aurora Borealis is a natural light show theorized to be caused by the Sun's solar wind interacting with the Earth's geomagnetic sphere (magnetosphere).  The exact reason is still not fully understood. These mischievous light shows are responsible for many folklores.It would be cool to see these light shows in a very northerly lat

            In 2010, Red Bull announced an attempt to brake a 65 year old record for the highest jump in the world. The record was set by US Air Force Colonel Joe Kittinger.               Timbuktu

              Timbuktu is one of the most historically significant cities within Africa and it the single most historically significant city with Mali. Timbuktu was founded in the 5th century and its economic and cultural climax came around 15th and 16th century. It`s climax came after the down fall of Mali in the late 14th century. Timbuktu was an area of trade seeing thousands coming and going.
